Standard all in one clips are small. They don't have enough behind them to hold weight, and they won't grab a clay tile. Claw Clips are thick and wide. Set one or two on a big gable and it holds the whole run.
Clips got cheap. Molds changed, plastic got thin, and now you're buying one year clips and two year clips. Ours have been on a roof for a year and they haven't moved.

SCREW THE BULB
Screw your C7 or C9 into the socket like you always do. No fighting a clip while you do it.

SNAP THE CLIP
The clip snaps right onto the bulb. Same speed as the old style clip you're already using.

SET IT ON THE ROOF
Slides onto gutters, shingles, or clay tile. One motion and it's locked.
WHY NOT JUST RUN CIRCLE CLIPS?
People run circle clips for one reason. When you pull the line down at the end of the season, everything comes with it. Nothing gets left on the house.
Claw Clips do the same thing. Pull the line, the clips come with it. The difference is install day. You're not screwing every single bulb through a clip. You screw the bulb, you snap the clip, you move on.
